People make movie references all the time. I’m watching those “must-see” films and finding that these movies aren’t a must see at all. I am giving these films two attempts because some movies are better the second time. So hopefully after reading you don’t give into the “must-see” movie myth. I’ll endure the movie so you won’t have to.
Friday (1995)
Friday is one of those movies that people reference all the time. By many its considered a must-see film, including my friends. I have seen clips before but never the whole thing.
Friday is about Craig (Ice Cube), having been fired on his day off, spends the day with his friend Smokey (Chris Tucker), smoking and chillin on the front porch. Craig and Smokey run into some trouble during the day and the movie centers around that.
It is a Must-See Movie Myth.
The movie didn’t grab my attention all that much. The story is interesting, how all these events occur in one day. The different situations are entertaining but I found myself getting lost. I liked the movie but I don’t think its a mus-see.
I was expecting a much better movie. I expected more action and comedy. The hype for the movie ruined it for me, it wasn’t what I was expecting.
